- To verify listings and maintain platform safety.
- To process platform fees securely.
- To provide real-time customer support.
- To prevent fraud, misuse, and fake accounts.
4. Analytics & Tracking
RoomDhundo uses tools like Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity to understand visitor behavior, improve user experience, and analyze traffic. These services collect anonymous usage information such as browser type, device information, and session activity.
5. Data & Payment Security
All structured data is hosted securely via Firebase. Payments are processed via Razorpay. RoomDhundo does not store your complete debit/credit card, UPI PIN, or banking passwords. We implement reasonable technical measures to protect your information.
6. Sharing of Information
We do not sell your personal information. Contact details are revealed strictly as per platform workflows (e.g., to students only after successful verification) to ensure privacy. Data is shared only when necessary for legal obligations or payment processing.
7. User Rights & Children's Privacy
You have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of your personal data. RoomDhundo is not intended for children under 18 without parental or guardian supervision.
Terms & Conditions
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using RoomDhundo, you agree to comply with these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree with these terms, please do not use our platform.
2. About RoomDhundo
RoomDhundo is an online discovery platform and marketplace that helps students and families discover rental rooms, PGs, and hostels based on Landmarks. We act solely as a platform connecting users and property owners.
3. User Accounts & Responsibilities
- Users must provide accurate identity and contact information.
- You are responsible for maintaining your account security.
- Fake or misleading information will result in immediate account suspension.
4. Property Listings (For Owners)
- Property owners are entirely responsible for listing accurate room information, rent, and photos.
- RoomDhundo Admins review, approve, reject, or modify listings to maintain quality.
- Fake listings, bait-and-switch tactics, or off-platform harassment are strictly prohibited.
5. Booking & Payments
Booking confirmation is subject to Admin verification and real-time availability. RoomDhundo may charge a platform token fee to unlock contact details. Students are strongly advised to physically inspect the room before paying large security deposits directly to owners.
6. Prohibited Activities
Creating fake accounts, uploading false room data, scraping data, harassing users, or attempting unauthorized access to the platform's backend infrastructure is strictly forbidden.
7. Limitation of Liability
We do not own, manage, or physically control the listed properties. We are not legally responsible for disputes, property conditions, rental agreements, injuries, or financial losses arising from direct interactions between users after the initial connection.
8. Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions shall be governed by the laws of India. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts in India.
Refund Policy
1. Introduction
This Refund Policy explains how refunds are handled for platform fees and payments made directly through the RoomDhundo application. By making a payment on our platform, you agree to this policy.
2. Platform Service Charges
RoomDhundo charges non-refundable platform service fees, such as Enquiry Token Fees or Owner Listing Subscriptions. The applicable amount is always displayed transparently before payment is completed on the gateway.
3. Non-Refundable Nature of Payments
- Payments made to RoomDhundo for unlocking services or listing subscriptions are generally non-refundable after successful processing.
- Changing your mind after payment does not automatically qualify for a refund.
- Personal preferences regarding a property upon physical visit do not qualify for a refund of the platform token fee.
4. Exceptions & Refund Eligibility
Refund requests may be considered manually by Admin only in exceptional verified circumstances, such as:
- Duplicate payment debited due to a banking/gateway error for the same service.
- Successful payment where the RoomDhundo platform completely failed to deliver the service due to an internal server error.
5. Property Owner Transactions (Disclaimer)
RoomDhundo is not responsible for actual monthly rent payments, advance payments, or security deposits made directly between students and property owners. Any refund of security deposits must be handled directly with the owner.
6. Refund Processing & Contact
Approved refunds (for gateway errors) will normally be processed through the original payment method. Processing time depends on the gateway and your respective banking system (usually 5-7 business days). Contact RoomDhundo support for queries.
